Tilia, commonly known as lime or linden tree, is a plant native to Europe and parts of Asia. Traditionally, its flowers and bark have been used in herbal remedies, particularly for their purported calming effects and to treat respiratory issues such as coughs and bronchitis. However, there is limited robust clinical evidence supporting these traditional uses, with most findings derived from preclinical studies or based on historical practices. Scientific research has shown that spectacle films with opaque non-refractive features provide better subjective visual performance compared to MiYOSMART lenses but are inferior to single vision lenses. Additionally, a study provided detailed microclimate data around a linden tree using affordable sensors, validating its use in urban vegetation research. While there is limited clinical evidence supporting the anxiolytic and antidepressant potential of Tilia species, these findings are primarily based on preclinical studies. Safety concerns for Tilia are minimal; no major issues have been recorded. Similarly, there are no reported drug interactions associated with this plant.
