A study also indicated that glutinol, a compound found in Orostachys japonica, can suppress TGF-β-induced EMT and reduce lung metastasis in mice. The complete chloroplast genome sequence of Meterostachys sikokianus was reported to be closely related to Orostachys japonica, providing insights into its genetic makeup but not directly linking it to specific medicinal properties. To date, no major safety issues or recorded drug interactions have been identified for this plant.
