Sociotherapy

Conventional medicine

Sociotherapy is a transdisciplinary partnership approach to addressing social and mental health. It is a non-medical clinical practice that works with people across the natural diversity of human experience — pain and satisfaction, suffering and acceptance, tragedy and triumph. It does not begin with the isolated individual; it begins with the larger field of conditions, meanings, histories, structures, and relationships that shape life as it is experienced through the eyes of each person — what sociotherapy calls the "relational ground".
