There is preliminary evidence suggesting potential renoprotective effects from Abuta grandifolia, which could help prevent kidney function reductions due to ischemia. Additionally, krukovine, a compound derived from this plant, has shown antiproliferative activity in oxaliplatin-resistant pancreatic cancer cells and organoids, with enhanced efficacy when combined with oxaliplatin. It also inhibits the growth and proliferation of KRAS-mutated lung cancer cells by downregulating RAF-ERK and AKT pathways. No major safety concerns or recorded drug interactions have been identified to date.
