In food science, a film containing Prunus maackii extract demonstrated improved flexibility, barrier properties, and antioxidant activity, potentially enhancing oil shelf life and indicating freshness of packaged foods. A study also successfully extracted high-quality DNA from this plant using a Percoll™-based protocol, highlighting its potential in genetic research. No major safety concerns or known drug interactions have been recorded for Prunus maackii to date.
